What defines me?

Cancer , A Dozen Kids , Life, Struggle

Marc had planned for us to go to a pancake breakfast at the air port. It is called a fly in breakfast. I was thrilled to go but didn’t really know what to expect. I had never been to such a thing before. I was excited to be taking my son who had just had a birthday pass. I thought it would be a new fun experience for him.
I was pleased when we pulled in to see a LOT of planes. I wasn’t sure how many we would see but I was completely impressed by the turn out. The planes were laid out in a circle that we could walk and get as close as we liked to the planes. One huge jet was opened so you were able to view inside. I was so intrigued I had my entire head inside! Marc asked if I wanted to eat first the answer was no instantly. I wanted to see the planes first!
My favorite of the planes was a blue and yellow Stearman P-17. I was able to see it fill up with gas. The man climbing to the top of the wings to pump the gas in. I was also able to see them take off. There were two side by side. They must have been friends as they arrived and left as a pair. Not the one I was the fondest of but the other one was quite the show off when he took off. Flying low above us to watch him in amazement.
We weren’t sure if we would be able to fly ourselves that day and would have been content just watching. To my surprise we were able to fly! Marc has an amazing friend who is also a coworker of his. He has a plane that he has taken me up in before. He took me on my first flight in fact. He and his buddy both offered to take us up that afternoon. I could feel the excitement build within as soon as I was told. It’s the most amazing experience!
Malachi and I would be riding in one plane together. The Cessna Cardinal was the name of the plane we had the privilege of riding in. We took to the air about 1230. Circling throughout the county we reside. The view is unlike anything you have ever seen. As we headed to the shoreline there were a line of clouds that had formed. I hadn’t seen anything like this during my first flight and it was stunning. We flew right over the top of them. Looking down on the fluffy piles of air. I remained silent snapping pictures and taking it all in for most of the flight. Just completely memorized by everything that could be seen.

My boyfriend has given me so many amazing experiences. I just adore the life I have with him. It's so blissful.

My uncle is a pilot and back when I was 12 so many many years ago, he took me and my sisters up in his float plane. It was amazing to see all the fields you could clearly see the grass was different colors per yard, and the lake. It was a very fun experience. Sounds like you and your son had an amazing day too.

I was blown away by how the great lakes looked from up there. It was so many different colors and so pretty. It is cool to see the fields as well all the rectangle yards laid out. I am so glad you have these fond memories to share from when you were younger I hope my children share theirs fondly as adults as well.
